SK8GODAM is a platform connecting buyers and sellers for good quality second-hand and new skates and skate equipment shop listings.
Buyers are solely responsible for their own purchases, safety checks, and inspecting gear before use. Sellers are solely responsible for the gear they list, describe, and sell.
THE PLATFORM (SK8GODAM) IS IN NO WAY RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY OF THESE ITEMS, GEAR QUALITY, CONDITION, SAFETY, OR TRANSACTIONS.
SK8GODAM DOES NOT ACCEPT OR PROCESS PAYMENTS ON THE APP. SK8GODAM operates exclusively as an online peer-to-peer (P2P) classifieds, discovery, and negotiation platform for the roller skating community.
We do not hold buyer funds in escrow, charge transaction fees on sales, or provide checkout gateways. All financial settlements (UPI, cash on meetup, bank transfer), courier packaging, shipping, and item handover are conducted directly and independently between the buyer and seller at their sole discretion and risk.
1. Platform Scope & Role as a Venue
SK8GODAM is a specialized peer-to-peer marketplace directory tailored exclusively for roller skating equipment—including carbon speed boots, inline frames, quad skates, 80mm–125mm wheels, precision bearings, helmets, protective pads, and skating accessories across India.
SK8GODAM acts strictly as an informational and discovery venue. We are not an auctioneer, a merchant of record, a certified gear inspector, or a party to any contract or transaction made between buyers and sellers.
2. Peer-to-Peer Transactions & Voluntary Donations
- No In-App Transactions: Users acknowledge that no payment methods or card details are entered or processed on SK8GODAM for marketplace gear.
- Off-Platform Settlements: Payment terms, delivery methods, and transit insurance must be agreed upon directly between buyers and sellers. SK8GODAM does not mediate payment disputes, chargebacks, or non-delivery claims.
- Voluntary Platform Donations: Optional contributions made via the platform donation QR code (/donate) are non-refundable community tips used solely to offset server hosting and development costs. They do not constitute purchase payments or escrow for listed gear.
3. Account Registration & Security
To list equipment, submit offers, or post gear requests, you must register an account using your email address, username, phone number, and a secure password.
- You must provide accurate, current, and complete registration information.
- You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and account credentials.
- You agree to notify SK8GODAM immediately of any unauthorized use or security breach of your account.
4. Listing Guidelines & Media Uploads
Sellers are solely responsible for all equipment listings they create:
- Accurate Representation: Listings must honestly disclose equipment condition, wear, scratches, structural issues, stripped threads, or prior crash history.
- Authentic Photos: Photos uploaded to the platform (stored via UploadThing) must be actual, recent photographs of the specific item being offered.
- Prohibited Items: You may not list stolen equipment, counterfeit or replica gear, broken gear unfit for use without disclosure, non-skating items, or illegal materials.
- Media License: By uploading photos and text, you grant SK8GODAM a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, index, and cache your content to operate the marketplace.
5. In-App Bidding, Offers & Communication
The platform provides interactive bidding and counter-offer tools, as well as direct WhatsApp contact shortcuts:
- Bids and offers submitted through SK8GODAM represent non-binding negotiations of interest until both parties reach an agreement.
- Users must maintain civil, respectful communication. Harassment, spamming, predatory lowballing, or abusive messaging will result in immediate account termination.
- SK8GODAM may send transactional notification emails (such as bid alerts and account verifications) via our email infrastructure.
6. Gear Inspection & Skater Safety Responsibilities
Roller skating, inline speed skating, and quad skating are high-velocity, extreme sports involving substantial risk of severe physical injury, collision, or death.
Buyer Inspection Duty: Buyers are strictly required to inspect all purchased equipment prior to riding. This includes checking:
- Carbon fiber boot shells for hidden cracks, flex weakness, or delamination.
- Mounting blocks, mounting bolts, and frame axle threads for tightness.
- Wheel core integrity, urethane bonding, and bearing spin smoothness.
- Helmets and protective padding for impact degradation (never ride a cracked helmet).

7. Complete Disclaimer of Warranties & Limitation of Liability
THE SK8GODAM PLATFORM AND ALL SERVICES ARE PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SK8GODAM, ITS CREATORS, OPERATORS, AND AFFILIATES EXPRESSLY DISCLAIM ALL LIABILITY FOR:
- THE ACCURACY, QUALITY, SAFETY, LEGALITY, OR CONDITION OF ANY LISTED EQUIPMENT.
- ANY PHYSICAL INJURY, ACCIDENT, PROPERTY DAMAGE, OR DEATH RESULTING FROM THE USE OF GEAR PURCHASED FROM USERS.
- FINANCIAL LOSSES, FRAUD, SCAMS, OR UNFULFILLED TRANSACTIONS CONDUCTED OFF-PLATFORM.
- DAMAGED, DELAYED, LOST, OR STOLEN PACKAGES SHIPPED VIA THIRD-PARTY COURIERS.
- PLATFORM DOWNTIME, DATA LOSS, OR TECHNICAL INTERRUPTIONS.
8. Account Termination & Content Moderation
SK8GODAM reserves the unilateral right, without prior notice or liability, to:
- Remove, edit, or hide any listing, offer, gear request, or testimonial.
- Suspend or permanently ban user accounts that violate these Terms of Service.
- Cooperate with law enforcement authorities in cases of fraud or stolen property.
