1. Speed & Inline Boots
- Check the boot shell for cracks or damage around mounting points.
- Inspect leather, straps, laces, and buckles to make sure they hold tightly.
- Check the bottom mounting screw threads to ensure screws fit smoothly.
2. Frames & Axles
- Inspect frames for any bends or cracks from heavy impacts.
- Check axle threads to ensure wheels can be tightened securely.
- Make sure frame mounting bolts tighten properly before riding.
3. Wheels
- Check wheels for flat spots, heavy side wear, or cracks.
- Inspect the plastic or alloy wheel core to make sure bearings fit snugly.
- Ensure the outer rubber layer is firmly attached to the core.
4. Bearings
- Check that bearings spin smoothly without grinding or harsh noise.
- Inspect side shields for dents that might block the balls.
- Ensure bearings are clean, dry, and lightly oiled for smooth roll.
- Do not buy bearings with visible rust or broken internal balls.
5. Helmets & Safety Pads
- Never use or sell a helmet that has survived a major crash or hard hit.
- Check helmet straps, chin buckle, and size dial for proper locking.
- Ensure knee pads, elbow guards, and wrist guards have strong protective padding.
